Deznel Dumfries and Federico Dimarco are set to start for Inter in this evening’s Serie A clash with Napoli.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the duo are favourites to start the match ahead of Matteo Darmian and Danilo D’Ambrosio respectively.

Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi will look to start his strongest eleven for this evening’s vital head-to-head clash at the top of the Serie A table, and should only have a couple decisions to make.

On the right, Dumfries and Darmian are in contention for a starting place, but the Dutchman looks set to be the one who starts.

Meanwhile, the coach will have to make up for the absence of Alessandro Bastoni in defense, with the 22-year-old injured as well as suspended for the clash, and Dimarco and D’Ambrosio are both players who could slot into the back three.

Dimarco looks to be the one who will be preferred between the pair, especially as his selection will also allow Milan Skriniar to start in the right rather than slotting over to the left.

The Gazzetta’s complete predicted eleven for the clash is as follows:

INTER (3-5-2): Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Dimarco; Dumfries, Barella, Brozovic, Calhanoglu, Perisic; Dzeko, Lautaro.
