Polish referee Szymon Marciniak has been appointed to be in charge of Inter’s Champions League round of sixteen clash with Liverpool on Wednesday evening.

This is confirmed by the Nerazzurri on their official site, where they also list the rest of the officiating crew for the massive knockout clash.

Marciniak will be assisted in his duties by Paweł Sokolnicki and Tomasz Listkiewicz, while the role of fourth official will be filled by Paweł Raczkowski.

Meanwhile, Tomasz Kwiatkowski will oversee the match from the VAR booth to make sure that any major errors by the on-pitch officials are corrected, and Bartosz Frankowski will assist him in his duties to round out an all-Polish crew.

The Nerazzurri will be hoping that the focus stays on the action on the pitch rather than any refereeing controversies as they head into a mouth-watering tie in their first Champions League knockout clash in a decade.
