Walter Mazzarri was interviewed by Sky after the game against Bologna and had the following things to say:
“We created more than we have done in the earlier game but the ball didn’t want to enter. Then we made many mistakes when Bologna scored. It’s sad to see a team play well, a team that creates chances but that can’t manage to win. But this is football. The wingers? Jonathan is doin great and he is performing in this championship like an important player. We are giving him certainties with our organisation which makes him able to use his qualities to attack. Guarin? He can’t be marked and needs to switch positions with Palacio more often, but today he played a good game and the only thing he missed was the goal. He played with continuity and worked for the team the whole game.”
Mazzarri then talked about tactical changes for the players, Rolando and about hanging on to the top:
“Many of the players aren’t ready to change roles or positions. We have worked on a system and if we change it we risk to lose our game, just as we did during a period of the game today. At the end of the game when we played 4-3-3 we got the proof that the team isn’t ready to change systems and positions during an ongoing game. It will come with time just like it did for me at Napoli. Rolando is one of the players who is doing very well, together with the young players and those who haven’t been in the starting eleven who are growing every game. If we want to be on top, we can’t throw two points away like we did today and in earlier games against Cagliari and Torino.”
