Monza have taken further steps towards signing striker Andrea Pinamonti after talks in the last 24 hours and they are now closer to completing a deal for him than ever.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, who report that contacts between the newly-promoted club’s CEO Adriano Galliani and his Inter counterpart Beppe Marotta have pushed the move closer to happening.

Monza have only been one among several clubs to have shown a keen interest in signing Pinamonti this summer, but the ambitious newly-promoted team have been one of the clubs pushing the hardest.

Talks have been ongoing between the Lombard club and both the player and the Nerazzurri, and another round of talks took place recently.

Monza are hoping that they can get a deal done for Pinamonti very soon, as the 23-year-old is a major target for them, and they are getting closer and closer to the finish line with recent talks.
