Inter are in need of more quality and depth in defence but they have that in midfield now, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, Inter urgently need to address the situation in their defence where they risk being left with either too few players or too few of a high enough level.

The fact that Andrea Ranocchia has left means that the defensive backup is currently Matteo Darmian, Danilo D’Ambrosio and Federico Dimarco which will not do for next season. They must improve upon those individuals.

They also need to make sure that Milan Skriniar is properly replaced if his move to Paris Saint Germain does eventually go through.

That is a concern for Simone Inzaghi but he has now got improved depth in the midfield with Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Kristjan Asllani who will raise the level in rotation.
