Inter are still keen on Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic, but would not be able to move for him before bringing in a fee for striker Andrea Pinamonti.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri are still thinking about a move for Milenkovic who would cost €15 million but would have to finance the move by selling Pinamonti.

Inter’s strong inclination is now to keep Milan Skriniar after missing out on Torino defender Bremer to Juventus, and unless Paris Saint-Germain are to test their resolve with an offer €70 million or higher the Slovakian will remain in their squad.

This does not mean that they could not still look to sign a high-quality defensive option to strengthen their back three, and Milenkovic has long been one of the main names on their list.

The Serb would cost around €15 million, and if Pinamonti were to be sold for a fee in and around the Nerazzurri’s asking price of €17-20 million then a deal could still be done.
