Milan Skriniar would like to stay at Inter this summer and an agreement in principle has already been found for him to extend his contract, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today, the Slovakian defender does not appear to be overly affected by the fact that Inter were so ready to sell him for the right price.

He has been reassured by the club now that he will be treated in the same way as Alessandro Bastoni, Nicolo Barella, Marcelo Brozovic and Lautaro Martinez. That means he will be offered a deal that is reflective of his increased importance to the team.

There is already an agreement in place for a contract with a fixed base of over €5 million plus bonuses. That being said, it seems likely that with a year left on the current deal, it will not be until September or later when the deal is actually signed.
