Dan-Axel Zagadou has distanced himself from a move to Inter as Roma are very serious about signing him, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media today.

As has been reported by Sky Sport, via FCInternews, the former Borussia Dortmund defender is highly unlikely to be joining Inter this summer as the spark between the two parties never really began.

He appears to have a viable alternative as Roma are serious about bringing him to the club. Inter are well covered when it comes to left-footed defenders given they have Alessandro Bastoni and Federico Dimarco in the squad.

There are also concerns over the injury record of a player who was only born in 1999 but has never been able to get a very consistent run of games without a physical issue.

Whilst he would have been a young player available on a free transfer, Inter are looking elsewhere now.
