Manchester United are thinking about an offer for Inter wingback Denzel Dumfries, and the Dutchman could be sold in the event that Milan Skriniar remains at the Nerazzurri.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Red Devils are ready to target Dumfries if Aaron Wan-Biassaka leaves and that Inter value him at €40 million.

Skriniar increasingly looks set to remain at Inter after the Nerazzurri missed out on Torino’s Bremer and with Paris Saint-Germain’s interest cooling, but a big sale will still need to be made at some point.

Dumfries could be the player to be cashed in on should the Nerazzurri feel that they don’t want to wait until the deadline of June 30, 2023 for a big sale approaches, and they would expect an offer of at least €40 million for the 26-year-old’s signature.

The Red Devils are thinking about an offer for the Dutchman in the event that they sell Wan-Bissaka, and coach Erik Ten Hag is a fan.

Meanwhile, Inter have already signed Raoul Bellanova from Cagliari in Dumfries’s position, but he has been signed as a backup to the Dutchman and so if Dumfries were to leave a replacement as the first-choice player in his position would be targeted.
