Inter are worried that Chelsea could try and reignite talks for Denzel Dumfries during the club’s contacts regarding midfielder Cesare Casadei.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri have no intention of letting go of the Dutchman during the summer transfer window but that Chelsea could make another push for him.
Inter’s stance on Dumfries is that the 26-year-old is too important a player to sell unless a massive offer comes along, as letting him go would disrupt the crucial balance in wide areas within the team.
This does not mean that there has not been transfer interest in the former PSV player, however, with Chelsea having already inquired about him during talks for Romelu Lukaku.
Now, the Blues are once again in talks with Inter regarding young midfielder Cesare Casadei, and the Nerazzurri are wary that the Premier League giants could use this as an opportunity to move once again for Dumfries.
