Inter have set a new record for season tickets in Serie A by selling a total of 41,000 season tickets for home fixtures at the San Siro next season.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri have confirmed the record-breaking total for season tickets sold, whilst city rivals AC Milan are just behind them with 40,000 sold for the San Siro.
Stadiums in Italy will be open at full capacity for the start of next season, having began the previous season at only half capacity due to pandemic-related restrictions before gradually opening up to full capacity during the last couple months of the campaign.
Excitement is higher among fans to be able to return to stadiums, and this is reflected in the high season ticket sales for the campaign, with the Nerazzurri leading the way off the back of significant anticipation generated by the return of Romelu Lukaku and the desire to win the Scudetto among other factors.
