Inter are set to meet with Lazio today to hold talks to wrap up the loan signing of defender Francesco Acerbi.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, who report that today’s round of talks between the Nerazzurri and the Biancocelesti could be the decisive ones for completing a deal to sign the 34-year-old on a paid loan with a purchase option.

Inter and Acerbi have looked to have been getting closer and closer together over the past few days, although without the Nerazzurri taking the decisive steps to get the deal done.

Today they will hold talks with Lazio, however, where they could finally seal an agreement to bring the defender in on a loan deal with a fee of around €500,000, whilst the deal would also include an option to make the signing permanent at the end of the loan.

Meanwhile, La Repubblica report that Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah is Inter’s main alternative to signing Acerbi.
