Paris Saint Germain are threatening to sign Milan Skriniar on a free transfer next summer but Inter are already working hard on his contract extension, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the French champions do not seem to have given up their chase for Milan Skriniar even though it is clear that Steven Zhang is not going to be accepting a bid for him this late in the transfer window.

PSG are now changing their approach and will try to convince Milan Skriniar to sign a pre-contract agreement with them so that he can join the French side next summer for free when his contract expires.

They had agreed on terms with him earlier in the summer although his stance was still that if Inter do not accept a bid, he will be happy to stay.

Inter are now working on extending his deal so that PSG cannot get him for free in 2023. Meetings are likely to take place after the derby on September 3.
