Inter legend Beppe Bergomi has said that Bayern Munich and Barcelona are the two hardest teams that Inter could have gotten in the Champions League group stage draw, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by FCInternews, the former defender has had his say on the UEFA Champions League group stage draw that took place on Thursday evening in Istanbul.

Inter were in pot three which meant there was always a good chance that they would be given a very tough test. It could not have gone any worse though according to Beppe Bergomi as they were drawn against Bayern Munich and Barcelona, as well as Viktoria Plzen from the Czech Republic.

“The most difficult opponents possible, those who do not give points of reference in attack, who want to have ball possession and dominate the game.”

He then offered some solace to Inter fans by pointing out that if Inter can play in such a way where they absorb a lot of pressure, they can beat Barcelona.

“If Inter know how to resist and suffer, they can compete, especially against Barcelona.”
