Inter duo Denzel Dumfries and Milan Skriniar put in commendable performances despite the team’s poor showing as a whole in yesterday’s 3-1 Serie A loss to Lazio.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who award both of the pair solid 7/10 scores for their displays in the player ratings for the match published in today’s print edition.

Wingback Dumfries was Inter’s brightest spark in attack before being removed as part of a triple substitution during the second half of yesterday’s match, and for the Corriere the Dutchman deserved credit even if the team stumbled to their first major setback of the season.

Meanwhile, Skriniar was given the same score as Dumfries for a solid display at the back, as the Slovakian was not at fault for any of the Biancocelesti’s goals.

However, striker Romelu Lukaku and coach Simone Inzaghi came in for particular criticism for their roles in the defeat, getting just 5/10 grades.
