Wingback Matteo Darmian is set to be given the start on the left in place of Denzel Dumfries for Inter in Wednesday’s Champions League group stage clash with Bayern Munich.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who also report that Edin Dzeko will start in attack alongside Lautaro Martinez.

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi could look to make changes to his starting eleven to face Bayern as he will be looking for a response following a 3-2 derby defeat to AC Milan on Saturday, and moving Darmian from the left to the right and giving Dumfries a rest looks to be his idea to shift the balance of the team.

Meanwhile, Dzeko will be included in the starting eleven in place of Joaquin Correa after the Bosnian’s impact from the bench against Milan.

Lastly, Tuttosport reports that Robin Gosens is not likely to start against the German champions, but will be given opportunities in the three matches before the September international break.
