Alfredo Pedulla of Gazzetta della Sport claims today that Chelsea have proposed a swap-deal between Guarin and Juan Mata, but that the Nerazzurri are not interested in the Spanish attacker/midfielder. This sends a clear signal to the clubs around Europe. Inter are not interested in switching players. Instead, Inter are looking to raise the money to acquire a striker, Lavezzi being the first choice.

Mata would be the only superstar at Inter
I’m an Inter fan and I would like to see players like Mata at the team not flops like Ba and Rondon
If that’s true it sound like Mourinho wants to make Inter stronger !! This is a gift !! Say yes thank you before they change their minds
Direct swap between Guarin and Mata would benefit Inter. Mata is an incredible player who has more clever brain than Guarin. Also, Mata is younger than Guarin. Mazzarri should use different formation because Guarin-Palacio attacking formation is no longer strong.
Why did you waste your time writing this up? Chelsea could just sell Mata and get considerably more than it would cost to buy Guarin, why would they even consider making this ridiculous offer. Alfredo Pedulla should lay off the drugs.
The system that Mazzarri is playing with does not suit Inter . Inter should go back and play 4-2-3-1.
3 men defence is only bringing average results .. nothing astonishing to be honest. We lost Snjider from this kind of mentality .. and he’s been doing fairly great at Gala and would’ve been useful supporting Palacio this season.
Buy a winger .. proper left backs and get Mata and you’ll have an decent team. Guarin has been almost useless throughout the season.
The problem you have there is the fact that changing 3-5-2 (3-5-1-1, actually) would imply changing Mazzarri. This won’t happen for now.
He won’t change the formation either, so we’re stuck with that, well on the way to losing Kovacic as well sooner or later.
On the other hand, 3-5-2 has proven to be a very useful formation in Italy, as Udinese’s results have shown in the past (Guidolin has had massive results considering the team and finances he has at his disposal), as well as Juve’s. Mazzarri has also been successful with this system, as Napoli became a force to be reckoned with under WM.
Mazzarri will have to work on an alternative, though, because both he and Conte were proven they can’t use 3-5-2 in Europe. Conte changed to 4-3-3 in the CL, lets see what Mazzarri can conjure up.
Mata would also be practically useless to Inter considering the formation they are playing, and he can’t be sold right after he signs for Inter.
Mazzarri is a classical system coach, he won’t change his game so that Mata could fit in, so it’s no option. Besides, we don’t know Mata would accept to move to Inter. He’s never played in Italy (and doesn’t seem like he would fit into the game too well), and Inter isn’t currently a top class team like Chelsea.
Mata is way much expensive than Lavezzi. Either Branca is idiot or no offense, Pedulla is losing his mind.. @.@
NOO 🙁
dafuq???!?!? why no?!?
Mata is about 45 mil….
