Barcelona head coach Xavi feels that his team were very hard done by with refereeing decisions against Inter but has no plans to file a formal complaint.

Speaking in a press conference, as reported by FCInterNews, the Spanish tactician made clear that while the Blaugranas continue to feel very angry at the decisions, they will move on without complaining to UEFA.

A couple of decisions went Inter’s way during the second half of their 1-0 Champions League win over Barcelona at the San Siro.

Namely, the Blaugranas had what they thought was an equalizer ruled out for a handball by Ansu Fati in the buildup, and then were not awarded a penalty for a similar handball by Nerazzurri wingback Denzel Dumfries.

The Barcelona players and staff were visibly outraged during the match, and as their coach made clear this feeling remains even though no formal process is planned in response.

“We think it was an injustice and we still think so,” he said, “but now we are focused on facing Celta.”

“The positive aspect is that in the Champions League our fate is still in out own hands.”

Regarding the possibility of lodging a formal complaint with UEFA, Xavi said that “I’m part of the club. We talked about it, but we decided not to.”
