Former AC Milan defender Alessandro Costacurta has said that he thinks Barcelona’s Sergio Busquets is an unpleasant player and he was pleased to see him on the bench against Inter, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking after the match on television, via FCInternews, Alessandro Costacurta spoke very bluntly about his dislike for Spain and Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets.

The veteran was taken off the pitch in the 64th minute for Frenkie de Jong and he had to watch on as Inter managed to secure a 3-3 draw which goes a long way towards kicking Barcelona out of the tournament.

Sergio Busquets has been one of the elite midfielders in Europe for the past decade or so but many people are not keen on his gamesmanship whilst on the field.

Alessandro Costacurta appears to be one of those people as he admitted to being happy that Sergio Busquets looked unhappy on the bench.

“Seeing Busquets, a player I really dislike, with that face sitting on the bench, I think it was the highlight of the evening for me.”
