Inter CEO Beppe Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio want to understand how much Milan Skriniar wants to stay at Inter, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the likely chance of getting into the next round of the Champions League has a big effect on the contract discussions with Milan Skriniar.

It increases the need for Inter to keep him beyond January, but it also means they should be able to make him a more attractive offer from both a financial and sporting perspective.

Inter will get around €5.6 million more than expected if they beat Viktoria Plzen in the penultimate Champions League group game.

That is why Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio want to talk to the player and understand just how much he really wants to stay at Inter.

The Nerazzurri want him to sign a deal to stay until 2027 but he is out of contract this summer.
