Inter CEO Beppe Marotta and Sporting Director Piero Ausilio are working hard to keep the team insulated from any knock-on effects of uncertainty around the club’s ownership.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri directors are making sure that the focus is firmly on the pitch for the team.
Rumours and reports regarding the possibility of Suning selling Inter have really picked up in recent days.
Such rumours have been persistent for a couple of years, but they have gained real traction.
The worry would be that if there is significant upheaval at the corporate level, the players could feel uncertain about their own futures, and the cohesion of the team would be affected.
However, from Marotta and Ausilio’s perspective, the most important aspect is making sure that the players can work in a calm environment.
The pair of directors have been mediating between the uncertainty of the sale rumours and the players and staff in training and on the pitch.
