After a 3-0 win over Sampdoria in Serie A yesterday, Inter have worked their way back into form but the real test of their displays will come against Juventus next weekend.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri were impressive in the victory over the Blucerchiati at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, with goals from Stefan De Vrij, Nicolo Barella, and Joaquin Correa securing the points.

It extended Inter’s winning run in the league to four games, whilst they are unbeaten in seven matches in all competitions, as they look to put a disappointing start to the campaign behind them.

Despite this strong run, the newspaper suggests that Simone Inzaghi’s side will face the biggest exam of their new-found form when they visit the Allianz Stadium for the Derby d’Italia.

With Juventus now picking up points at a similar pace to Inter, the match is being viewed as decisive in determining which of the teams has recovered better.

It is also argued that whilst neither side is within touching distance of league leaders Napoli at this stage, a victory and a resurgent Inter or Juventus could heap pressure on the teams at the top, adding to the intrigue of the game.
