Inter are keen to sign Rennes wingback Adrien Truffert on loan if Robin Gosens leaves the club.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, who report that the 21-year-old is a major target to replace Gosens, and that the Nerazzurri’s intention would be to sign him on an initial loan deal.

Inter are preparing for the possibility of Gosens leaving the club, possibly as early as in the January transfer window.

Truffert is seen as one of the most stylistically suitable replacements for the German.

The Nerazzurri are establishing talks to potentially bring Truffert in, in anticipation of the possibility that Gosens could end up leaving the club as early as in the January window given that he is still not receiving much playing time at Inter.

Truffert has made a total of 85 appearances for Rennes since the start of the 2020-21 season, and also received his first call-up to the senior French national team earlier this year.
