Italian journalist Marco Barzaghi feels that young Inter attacking midfielder Valentin Carboni is starting to hit very impressive form, and that he will soon grow into an important player in the senior game.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Barzaghi marked out the 17-year-old Argentine as a player whose recent growth means that he is already improving significantly.
Carboni has been part of Inter’s training during the World Cup break, travelling with the Nerazzurri’s senior squad to Malta over the last week.
The 17-year-old started in a friendly match against Gzira United, before coming off the bench and scoring his first goal in a senior Nerazzurri shirt against Red Bull Salzburg.
Carboni has also been in Inter’s squad in Serie A and the Champions League this season.
So far, the young Argentine has only made cameo appearances from the bench in these competitions where he has yet to really look like he’s grown into a player for the senior team, but in Barzaghi’s view this is not far away.
“Keep an eye on Valentin Carboni,” Barzaghi said, “he’s growing exponentially in quality and could become an absolutely top player.”
“He has physicality, technique, and good numbers, watch out for him.
