Inter are set to meet with the representatives of Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram in Milan at the conclusion of the World Cup in Qatar.
This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that the Nerazzurri are seriously convinced that talks with the 25-year-old and his agents can proceed positively towards a possible free transfer move next summer.
Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio has already met with Thuram’s representatives in Qatar during the World Cup.
The Nerazzurri executive made clear that he considers the Frenchman a major target for either January or next June, whilst the player’s representatives explained that his intention is to see out the season with Gladbach and then make his decision in the summer.
Ausilio and Inter are still convinced that they can sign Thuram in the summer despite the significant competition for his signature.
A meeting with Thuram’s representatives is now scheduled in Milan for after the World Cup, where Inter will try to work towards an agreement for June.
