The agent of Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana feels that the Cameroonian is in the right headspace to approach the rest of the season.

Speaking to Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport in an interview published in today’s print edition, via FCInterNews, Onana’s agent Albert Botines particularly noted the player’s excitement at the prospect of winning his first trophy in a Nerazzurri shirt in the Supercoppa Italiana.

Onana has certainly had an eventful past few months.

The 26-year-old arrived at Inter from Ajax on a free transfer during the summer, and in that time has cemented his place as the team’s first-choice keeper.

Then, Onana travelled to the World Cup in Qatar with the Cameroonian national team, but was disappointed to have his tournament cut short following disagreements with the team’s coaching staff.

Now, the 26-year-old is getting ready to try and build on the momentum he’s established at club level, and make an impact starting in January.

“He’s very motivated to face the month of January,” Onana’s agent Botines explained, “which will be very tough because of all the matches so close together, but especially the Supercoppa against Milan because it could be his first trophy as an Interista.”

“Andre feels that love from the fans,” he added.

The agent explained that “He wants to follow up on the positive note that he ended November on.”

“He’s happy in the city of Milan, he really likes the lifestyle in Italy.”
