Inter defender Stefan de Vrij is set to make his decision on whether or not to extend his contract with the Nerazzurri around February or March.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, who reported earlier this evening that the 30-year-old is still considering his future, and that a decision will likely arrive sometime after January.
Inter would be willing to offer de Vrij a new contract, although it remains to be seen if the player and club would be able to come together on an agreement concerning wages on a new deal.
Accordingly, the situation concerning de Vrij’s future is very much up in the air, with significant work still to be done before an agreement could potentially be found.
For his part, the Dutchman is not in any hurry to make a decision on his future, and the Nerazzurri have been told by his agent Federico Pastorello that a response should arrive around February or March.
