Inter have set the deadline for a response to their final take-it-or-leave-it contract extension offer to Milan Skriniar in January.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that the Nerazzurri will expect the 27-year-old and his representatives to give a response in the new year, and will make clear that they have gone as far as they can go with their offer.

At this point, Inter feel that there is little more that they can do to try and convince Skriniar to extend his deal.

The offer that has been on the table for some weeks is at the edge of the Nerazzurri’s wage structure, and if the Slovakian is to turn this down, then this would signify the end of his story at the club.

As such, Inter have made clear to Skriniar and his representatives that, barring minor details, there is little left to negotiate regarding their offer.

The offer stands, and the club expect the player’s response next month.
