Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram would be Inter’s dream signing for the January transfer window, but their pursuit of him is complicated by the rivalling interest of Bayern Munich.

This according to the online edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are still considering the 25-year-old as a possibility for next month, but that Bayern are standing in the way.

Inter have already spoken with Thuram’s representatives, and have not taken the possibility of signing the Frenchman in January off of the table.

The biggest obstacle for the Nerazzurri is that Bayern are also keen, however.

The German champions have also made contact with Thuram’s representatives, and would aim to sign the Frenchman on a free transfer when his contract with Gladbach expires at the end of June 2023.

Accordingly, it could prove tough for Inter to convince the player on a January move even if they do decide to invest in a move on a fee.
