Inter and AC Milan could both look to sign goalkeeper Alessio Cragno from Monza during next summer transfer window.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri are tracking the 28-year-old as a possible signing to back up Andre Onana and Mike Maignan respectively.

Cragno has not had a very happy 2022, as the keeper was relegated with Cagliari last season before joining Monza in the summer, where he has not made a single Serie A appearances this season due to Michele Di Gregorio being preferred.

The 28-year-old is still considered to be a reliable option, however.

Monza would be obligated to make Cragno’s loan move from Cagliari permanent next June for a fee of €3.6 million in the event that they reach safety in Serie A.

If this is to happen, then there is a good chance of the Brianzoli looking to immediately move Cragno on given that he is hardly in favour at the club, and in this case both Inter and Milan would be ready to move for him as a backup keeper.
