Inter are preparing a contract offer to Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram for next summer, but will face competition for his signature from Newcastle United.

This according to UK news outlet 90min, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri wouldn’t intend to offer the Frenchman a contract for January, but that they are ready to make a big effort for June, whilst Newcastle are also very keen.

Thuram’s contract runs out at the end of June, and whilst Gladbach are hoping to cash in on January like they did with Denis Zakaria last time around rather than lose him on a free transfer, the real competition could be to sign him in June.

Inter have made their interest and the player would be interested in a move to Serie A, considering that it is the league where his father Lilian spent a decade with Parma and Juventus.

However, according to 90min all of Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, and Aston Villa are interested in signing the Frenchman in June, whilst Newcastle may be the keenest of all and would be ready to make a big push to sign him.
