Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is likely to be fit enough to start in next week’s Serie A clash with Napoli.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 30-year-old will be assessed closer to the match to make a final decision on whether or not he would be ready to play.
Brozovic returned to Inter training from his post-World Cup vacation a couple days early yesterday.
The Croat completed a session of individual work to start getting his fitness back.
The aim for the midfielder is to be available when the Nerazzurri face off against Napoli next Wednesday.
According to the Gazzetta, with Brozovic returning to full training with his teammates, the next few sessions should be decisive in revealing whether or not he will be ready to face the Partenopei.
If there is any sense that Brozovic’s fitness will be a risk against Napoli, then he will not start.
