Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is looking to have “six months at full throttle” as the return of Serie A is now less than a week away.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 29-year-old is targeting a wave of his best fitness and form over the decisive second part of the season with the Nerazzurri.
It would be an understatement to say that Lukaku’s time back at Inter has not gone according to plan up to this point.
Injury and fitness issues have restricted the Belgian to just five appearances in a Nerazzurri shirt this season, across all competitions.
Meanwhile, the Belgian also suffered massive disappointment at the World Cup with Belgium, where he was partially at fault for the Red Devils’ elimination from the group stage after a series of misses against Croatia.
However, the striker’s aim is to put all of that firmly in the rear view mirror, as he will have no shortage of matches between Serie A, the Coppa Italia, the Supercoppa Italiana, and the Champions League in which to make an impact.
