Inter have been handed a boost after midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan took part in the full training session today, ahead of a crucial Serie A match against Napoli on Wednesday.
As reported by FCInterNews.it, the former Armenia international was able to work with the rest of the squad in preparation of the visit of the league leaders to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, and could be in line to feature from the start.
Mkhitaryan was in doubt for the game after being substituted in the second half of Inter’s 1-0 friendly win over Sassuolo on Thursday with a back complaint, but has recovered in time.
The former Roma midfielder has impressed with his performances over the winter break and could now line up alongside Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu in the centre against Napoli.
Elsewhere, centre-back Stefan De Vrij continued to train alone after an injury sustained during the World Cup, but is likely to join up with the rest of the group tomorrow.
