Inter do not intend to wait any longer for striker Romelu Lukaku to prove with his performances that his loan deal from Chelsea should be extended.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInter1908, who report that the Nerazzurri want the Belgian to give his answers on the pitch as early as this Monday’s Serie A match against Sampdoria if they are to try to agree a new loan deal with Chelsea.

The time is getting closer and closer when Inter will have to make a decision on whether to try and extend Lukaku’s loan from Chelsea.

The Nerazzurri’s stance has always been that their decision will be based around the 29-year-old’s form, as so far this season he has been some way off of his best due to persistent injury and fitness problems.

If Lukaku shows that he can play at a high level then there is no question that Inter will try to negotiate a new loan deal with Chelsea, but he will have to start doing so in the next few matches or else the club could decide to now extend his loan.
