Inter coach Simone Inzaghi could partner Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez in attack for Monday’s Serie A clash against Sampdoria, ahead of a Champions League tie against Porto.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the tactician still has another two training sessions to monitor his squad before deciding on his line up for the match at Stadio Luigi Ferraris, but is tempted to select Lukaku from the start.

The Belgium international has endured an injury-hit season since returning on loan from Chelsea and requires minutes to reach match sharpness, with the game against the struggling Blucerchiati viewed as an opportunity for him to build up his fitness.

Inzaghi would like to have three fit and firing strikers available to him when Inter face Porto on 22 February, with Martinez and Edin Dzeko already in good form, although Joaquin Correa remains a doubt.

Meanwhile, the former Lazio coach would like to see Lukaku and Martinez build on the positive display put in against Atalanta in the Coppa Italia last month, with a view to redeveloping their partnership.
