Inter could offer Barcelona a deal for midfielder Franck Kessie which would see the Ivorian arrive on an initial loan deal containing the option to sign him permanently.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Blaugranas could be persuaded on such a structure for a deal by the fact that the 26-year-old former AC Milan midfielder does not have a major place in their project.
Inter appear to be keen on bringing Kessie back to Serie A one season after he left city rivals Milan to join Barcelona on a free transfer.
Given the Nerazzurri’s financial issues, a move for Kessie would not be straightforward, and the 26-year-old would likely have to accept a pay cut from the €7 million net per season that he currently earns at Barcelona.
However, as far as convincing Barcelona goes, the fact that Kessie is not a regular player in the starting eleven means that they could well be convince to send him out on loan initially in order to offload the player and make room in their squad.
