Inter striker and captain on the night Lautaro Martinez regrets the dropped points away to Sampdoria in yesterday’s Serie A clash, but is committed to responding by working harder than ever.

Posting a short message on his Instagram account, the Argentine stressed that even though the draw is a disappointing result, the only way to grow is to focus on working and improving.

If wins against the likes of Atalanta and AC Milan over the past couple weeks have shown how good this Inter team can be, yesterday evening’s frustrating goalless draw with Sampdoria showed just how far they still have to go.

The draw leaves Inter a whopping fifteen points behind league leaders Napoli, whilst they are just three points ahead of the teams in third place as they look to secure a spot in the top four in the Serie A table.

Meanwhile, there are also the Coppa Italia and the Champions League for Martinez and his teammates to think about as they aim to get past yesterday evening’s result immediately.

The Argentine posted after the match, “We keep going.”

“It wasn’t the result that we wanted or were looking for, but now we put our heads down and keep working, that’s the only way to grow.”

He added, “Thanks as always to the fans for their continued support.”
