There is no tension remaining between Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella and striker Romelu Lukaku following their spat on the pitch during the team’s Serie A draw away at Sampdoria.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the duo have patched things up to the extent that they travelled together on the team bus and ate lunch at the same table yesterday and their interactions were friendly.

During the first half of Inter’s match against Sampdoria, striker Lukaku completely lost his temper with his teammate Barella.

The Belgian had gotten fed up with the negative body language and criticisms from the midfielder, and his frustration boiled over as his gestured and shouted towards his teammate.

This could well have led to concerns that there is a real rift between the two players, which would obviously be a problem for the team on and off the pitch.

However, according to Tuttosport, despite how clearly heated things got on the pitch, Lukaku and Barella’s interactions since have been calm and they have had no problem interacting as normal off the pitch.
