Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni and wingback Denzel Dumfries have faced significant criticism in Italian media for their performances in yesterday evening’s Serie A loss to Bologna.

The duo both received scores of just 4.5/10 for their displays in the player ratings for the match published in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who spared few Nerazzurri players but singled the pair out for particular criticism.

All over the pitch, Inter’s squad came under fire from the Corriere, including striker Romelu Lukaku who had been hoping to build on momentum of goals against Udinese and Porto but instead in the view of the newspaper looked lacklustre.

However, Bastoni and Dumfries both received grades of just 4.5/10, as the newspaper argued that they were emblematic of the sloppy and unmotivated display by the team as a whole.

Meanwhile, midfielder Nicolo Barella and wingback Robin Gosens received grades of 6.5/10, and defender Matteo Darmian and goalkeeper Andre Onana were not far behind at 6/10.
