Inter will try to sell defender Alessandro Bastoni during the summer transfer window if they are unable to agree an extension of his contract past the end of June 2024.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInter1908, who report that the Nerazzurri would have absolutely no intention of allowing the 23-year-old to go into the final year of his contract.

More work appears to be necessary for Inter to agree a contract extension with Bastoni.

However, extending the former Atalanta and Parma player’s deal past the end of June 2024 is one of the top priorities for Inter, as they would not want to risk the kind of situation that they have ended up in with Milan Skriniar, who is set to leave on a free transfer when his contract runs out.

Accordingly, if an agreement isn’t reached with Bastoni and his representatives by the end of the season, then the Nerazzurri would look to sell the player.
