Inter captain Samir Handanovic could start for the Nerazzurri in Friday evening’s Serie A match against Spezia, whilst defender Stefan de Vrij and midfielder Marcelo Brozovic would also be candidates to start.
This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the 38-year-old could start and goal with Andre Onana given a rest, as Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi is contemplating some significant squad rotation in view of next week’s Champions League match against Porto.
Inzaghi is still making up his mind on a number of selection decisions for the starting eleven to face Spezia later this week.
In goal, the coach could decide to opt with Handanovic in order to give Onana a rest ahead of next Tuesday’s match against Porto.
Meanwhile, Brozovic and de Vrij would both be serious candidates to start.
Wingback Federico Dimarco will be ready for the squad on Friday, whilst defender Milan Skriniar will not, according to the Gazzetta.
