Legendary former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes feels that Inter striker Lautaro Martinez could be the perfect attacking signing for his old team.
Speaking on UK broadcaster BT Sport, via FCInterNews, Scholes suggested that the Nerazzurri striker would be perfect for the Red Devils’ style of play under coach Erik Ten Hag, whilst Napoli’s Victor Osimhen would suit Chelsea.
Whilst Martinez has always made his commitment to Inter clear, this has not meant that there hasn’t been persistent transfer interest in the Argentine’s signature.
Teams in La Liga have often been linked with the 25-year-old, whilst in recent months the interest from the Premier League has also risen.
There have been some reports of Martinez being on the radar of Premier League giants Manchester United, and in the view of the team’s Champions League-winning former midfielder Scholes, he would be a very good signing if they were able to get him.
“I think Lautaro Martinez would be perfect for Erik Ten Hag’s style of play,” he argued, “whereas Osimhen would be best-suited to Chelsea.”
