Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin expects that, so long as Suning remain Inter owners, then there is little reason to think that the upcoming transfer window will be anything different than last summer’s.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster TeleLombardia, via FCInter1908, Biasin predicted that the Nerazzurri will have another summer transfer window with limited spending, and unless there are big sales then the club’s focus will be free or low-cost transfers.

Last summer, Inter were widely linked with a major sale although that never arrived.

In the meantime, the signings that the club made were either of younger players like Kristjan Asllani or low-cost opportunities such as Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Francesco Acerbi.

According to Biasin, little is likely to change in the upcoming window, given that Suning and the financial situation remain what they are.

Looking ahead to the summer, the journalist explained that “I’ll say this already in March, there will be no big signings unless there are sales.”

“Last summer no big names left, and so the club focused on free transfers,” Biasin went on.

“If the ownership doesn’t change, then we’ll keep going like this,” he added.

“Indeed, we actually need to bring in money,” he added.

“Not that that doesn’t necessarily mean that we can build an interesting team.”
