Referee Marco Guida will be the referee in charge of Inter’s Serie A match against Lazio on Sunday at the San Siro.

This is confirmed by an official announcement of the officiating crews for all ten matches to be played during the upcoming round of fixtures in the league made by the Lega Serie A, as reported by FCInterNews, which also lists the rest of the officials for the match.

41-year-old referee Guida has been refereeing matches at the Serie A level since the 2010, making his debut in a match between Chievo and Bologna.

Guida has also been a FIFA-listed referee since 2014, with experience refereeing international matches.

Guida has additionally been refereeing matches in European competitions since 2014, and has extensive experience taking charge of matches in both the Europa League and the Champions League.

This season, Guida has been involved in only one Inter match, as the fourth official in the first leg of their Coppa Italia semifinal first leg match against Juventus, whilst the 41-year-old’s last Inter match in Serie A was a 1-1 draw against Torino in March of last season.

Assisting Guida in his duties will be Mauro Galetto and Salome Di Iorio, whilst the role of fourth official will be filled Luca Pairetto.

In the VAR room, Daniele Chiffi will oversee the match to ensure that any errors made by the on-pitch crew are corrected, whilst he will be assisted in his duties by Giovanni Ayroldi.

The Nerazzurri will be hoping that the focus stays on the action on the pitch as they aim to make it two wins in a row in the league following their 3-0 victory away to Empoli last weekend.

Meanwhile, Lazio will be aiming to secure their spot in second in the Serie A table with a statement win against the Nerazzurri, with the match set to have major top four implications.

In the reverse fixture at the Sstadio Olimpico, Lazio handed Inter their first defeat of the season by a scoreline of 3-1.
