Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio has confirmed that Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester United are keen to sign Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana.

Reporting live on air moments ago, via FCInter1908, Di Marzio noted that the Cameroonian is indeed a target for Chelsea and United as was reported yesterday by SempreInter.com, but also that the Nerazzurri are holding out for no less than €50 million for his signature.

Onana has been persistently linked with some of Europe’s top clubs in recent weeks, with SempreInter.com reporting yesterday that Barcelona are also interested.

Moreover, SempreInter also confirmed that the Nerazzurri have little interest in accepting goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga as part of a cash-plus-player deal for the 27-year-old who arrived from Ajax on a free transfer last summer.

Di Marzio has confirmed exactly this as well, outlining both the interest that is emerging in Onana’s signature and Inter’s stance.

“Inter deserve credit for getting Onana on a free transfer,” the Sky transfer expert said.

“It’s true that Manchester United and Chelsea are keen on him, and also that Inter don’t want Kepa as part of a swap deal, but above all I don’t think that the figures I’ve seen reported in terms of fees would be enough to convince them.”

He elaborates, “€40 million? I don’t think so. I think Inter would only sacrifice Onana for a fee of around €50 million, or higher than €50 million, they’ve made that clear to all interested.”

“If he were to be sold, they’ve chosen Vicario as his replacement,” Di Marzio added regarding a prospective sale of Onana.

The Sky transfer expert also briefly weighed in on the future of Romelu Lukaku, currently on loan at Inter from Chelsea, stating that “We’ll still have to wait and see.”

“The player wants to stay in Milan, hand he’ll do everything he can in the remaining matches of the season to try and earn an extension of his loan,” he added.
