Daniele Orsato will be the match official for Wednesday’s Serie A contest between Hellas Verona and Inter Milan at the Marcantonio Bentegodi Stadium.

According to FcInterNews, the federation has handed the task to the Orsato, while Mokhtar and Palermo will serve as assistants, with Cosso as the fourth official. Moreover, Marini and Fabbri will be in the VAR room.

Fresh from a memorable come-from-behind victory over Lazio over the weekend, the Nerazzurri will be hoping to collect three points on the road at the expense of the relegation strugglers before taking on the gauntlet with upcoming fixtures against Roma in Serie A and Milan in the Champions League.

For his part, Orsato is one of the most experienced referees in Serie A and arguably the most renowned in the current Italian generation.

The 47-year-old has officiated some of the biggest matches on the European and international stages, including the 2020 Champions League final between Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.

This season, Orsato has acted as the match official in 12 Serie A fixtures, handing 42 yellow cards, one red card and a single penalty. He also made six appearances in the Champions League and one in the Europa League.

The last time he officiated a match for Inter, the club lost to Bologna at the Renato Dall’Ara in Match Day 24, with Riccardo Orsolini scoring the solitary goal of the encounter.
