Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi feels that he’s always been calm about his future and having the backing of the club.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN ahead of this evening’s Serie A clash with Napoli, via FCInterNews, the coach stressed that the words of Nerazzurri President Steven Zhang confirming that he’ll be staying as coach came as little surprise to him.

Inter President Steven Zhang has confirmed that Inzaghi will remain as coach next season.

The 47-year-old has been the subject of much criticism throughout this season. This has led to rumours that he could be sacked by the Nerazzurri.

However, Zhang highly praised Inzaghi as a person and a coach, and the job that he’s done.

Now, despite all the rumours, it looks as though the former Lazio coach will stay in his position for next season.

For his part, Inzaghi is not surprised by this. From the coach’s perspective, his future at Inter is not something that he’s been too worried about.
