Argentinian newspaper Olé reports that Argentina’s national team manager, Walter Sabella, will include Esteban Cambiasso in his squad for the friendly fixture against Romania on the 5th of March.
Cambiasso’s injury to his left hamstring isn’t as serious as first thought and he is expected to be back for selection at the latest in 3 weeks. Cambiasso’s hypothetical call-up to the national team is line with Sabella’s experimenting in order to fill out the few vacant spots in the Argentinian World Cup squad.
Nice to hear that, but it is a pity that Maradona did not call treble winners Zanetti, Samuel, Cambiasso in WC 2010 squad. He was mistaken though. Wish you a quick recovery Cuchu!
