Inter will try to acquire Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic as their first purchase for next season. This from the pages of Turin daily Tuttosport. Many top European clubs are interested but it has been reported by some that Inter are already in negotiations with the players representatives. The attraction of Vidic is twofold. Firstly Inter can only count on Hugo Campagnaro and Juan Jesus for the defence next season. Walter Samuel, Cristian Chivu, Andrea Ranocchia and even Marco Andreolli are set to depart the club. Meanwhile the fate of Rolando could be linked directly to that of Mazzarri as Inter will need to purchase the player for a rumoured €5 million from Porto.

The second incentive with Vidic is the lack of a transfer fee. Inter aim to sign two or three players that effectively do not count against UEFA’s Financial Fair Play criteria. This is especially important due to purchases such as the Hernanes investment in January. What is certain is that Erick Thohir would like to sign Nemanja Vidic.
